Having played at different youth levels at NK Krsko and NK Domzale in his native Slovenia, Sesko joined RB Salzburg in 2019 and proceeded directly to a two-year loan spell with FC Liefering, before returning to spend the same amount of time at the parent club. The 35-year-old joined the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A side in September 2021 and has since won the Copa Libertadores and Copa do Brasil.
Prior to moving to Flamengo, Luiz spent 14 years in Europe playing for Benfica, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal.
